Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9:30 pm. It is closed on Thursday. Good food for great price. They have no hot tea but that could not finish from the great flavors! Not many vegetarian options. Ordered the homemade tofu (no pork), vegetarian noodle casserole, and leek and egg appetizer and was more than enough for 2 people.

Old Chengdu Cafe offers an authentic taste of Sichuan cuisine, known for its bold flavors, spicy dishes, and rich, aromatic broths. The menu features a variety of traditional Sichuan dishes, including fiery hot pots, flavorful stir-fries, and mouthwatering dumplings, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The heat level can be intense, but for those who enjoy bold, spicy flavors, it's a true delight. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make it a great place for both casual meals and family gatherings.

They have really great noodle dishes here, and reminded me of the ones I had in my hometown. We ordered two other dishes and both were delicious. We will definitely come back!

This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in the Syracuse area. So far the Dry Noodle dish is my favorite. It’s a combination of the egg/tomato and pork noodle dishes. The name continues to confuse everyone I bring since the bowl is like 1/3 filled with some kind of broth, but I love the dish. The waiter is nice and answers any questions I’ve had. I’ll continue coming here in the future and look forward to trying a bunch of new dishes.
